Title: Prochem Steempro 2000 Vacuum Noisey!

I picked up a Prochem steempro for a good price as spares and repair.

It sound like it needs a new vacuum because when the second vac is switched on you get a terrible grating/dry noise.

I have mechanical experience and took the machine apart and one vacuum is rumbling when turned by hand.
I can see a 14mm or 15mm nut at the bottom of this vacuum and wondered if the vacuum motor can be repaired with a bearing kit, or is it new vacuum time???

If it is a new vac... Anyone know the best price around?? I have looked on ebay and there is one for £119 & Free P+P

dont know about repairing them but there is cheaper on ebay

Sounds like water's got in the bearings and made them rusty, I have tried unsuccessfully
to renew bearings  :-[
Many on here like myself have learnt through bitter experience buying cheap motors
on ebay. These are very good but aren't showing vacs in stock.

I hit that link couple of days ago and there were no accessory's on the planet   :)
I think he may be gone ... no sign on e-bay either
