For the 1st time in about 18 months I will have gotten thru all of my work by Tuesday next week. :o
Gives me 7 days to canvass before start of next month.
Combination of no longer working an area which was 3 days worth, part time lad and long month this month.
So time to dust the leaflets off and get some door knocking done.
Fancy trying to get one or two small commercial jobs ... office / nursery / car showroom type of thing as well as compacting my residential areas.
What do you think is acheivable in a week ?
Be well happy with another £300 to £400 ..... you think this is possible ?
Been a while since done day after day of canvassing ... odd few hours here and there.
Would you want to see me updating post on a daily basis with my progress
or is that a little too much "look at me ... look at me" :o
-
update please
-
Motivational updates needed lol
-
Update please. I'm going to start very soon, but on commercials.

I'm in same position starting canvassing tomorrow evening. I'll see if i can beat you to £300.
-
Post your results chaps - looking forward to it.
-
yeah but be going dark by 3.30 end of next week lol
-
hows it going
-
Starting tomorrow afternoon didn't happen Saturday due to unforeseen problems
-
Would be good to see how you get on Ian, i have been canvassing up to the last week or so and have done okay. However, its now getting dark early, people not answering the door, so you may need to go out on Saturdays - i find Saturday the best day, if you set out early you can cover a lot of ground.
Let us know how you get on fella and how you have gone about it ie door knocking or leaflet drop and follow up etc.
Good Luck
Cheers, Steve

is that 1 job? or lots of jobs - 1 clean total or yearly total ????
door knocking is just a numbers game - the more you do the more you get - i've had days where i've picked up 7 or 8 in a couple of hours other days nothing.
one thing is for sure NO knocking NO customers !

im in the same boat, i have just taken someone else on so have a 2 man van. needing an extra £100 a day.
So far so good. 3 of us out 3 eves a week the last 2 weeks in the rain and are getting £150 a night of new cleans. the first cleans start on monday so hopefully all comes good.
-
They were one clean total (average £15 a job)so the £75 was over 5 jobs and the £60 over 4 jobs.
Sorry didnt mean to hijack the thread just wondered what sort of canvassing averages people seemed to get....
Very true about no knockong no new work, guess its just getting motivated enough to go do it!!:D

Well back from my travels today .
Dropped about 600 leaflets and knocked a fair few.
Picked up 3 jobs !! :D
all £12 monthly.
No canvassing this evening as off to see my new grandson Asher Wills Burrows born yesterday !! :)
-
Do you guys find it best to drop leaflets and then go back and knock doors or just take the leaflets and knock the doors and only leave a leaflet if no one answers?
Ive tried dropping lesflets, get one or two from it but not many - could be my crap leaflet??? :(
Also do you find people dont mind coming to the door after dark - older people probably wont answer the door for sure.

Where are the updates Then ;D

Where are the updates Then ;D

Canvassing is a funny game, sometimes you can go out and get lots of work, and other times . . . . nothing !
Key to success is keep on going, and keep positive. We always try to post leaflets first, then call back a few days later
to ask if they had chance to look at the leaflet. Amazing how many times people respond by " we were going to ring
but forgot ".

We do a bit there but its mostly seasonal . It just hotels and summers over.

But thanks for the thought .
