Out of gardiner quick release clamps?
I've got a job This after noon I need to use a goose neck on the
Big pole and I don't want to force it and bust the clamps?

btw im very clumsy and heavyhanded and break and damage things inc customers gutters and reverse over their lamposts so prob you need to be aware of this before you follow any of my advice on here ;D

however you will notice from the wet brickwork under the windows that being the true professional I still cleaned their windows after I killed their lampost ;)
and yes still billed them however not until I had replaced the lampost with a new one.

Hi Colin
Alex recently gave some advice to another client with a stuck Resi-Neck -
'You will need someone to hold the top section of the pole and then you can twist the Resi-Neck to help loosen it. Twisting it will help it ease out.'
Please contact the Office for a replacement Resi-Neck if you find it too difficult to put into the top clamp again.

Fantastic thank you mrs a :)

There not as quick release as they should be :o

:)
This one is obviously faulty which is why we have offered to replace it. They should usually be firm but easy to remove - hence the name quick release! All Resi-Necks are put into the top clamp in the workshop before sending out so in theory they should all remove just as easily. However, sometimes with use or poor tolerance this is not the case as has happened here. Fortunately, very easy to rectify.

i have the same problem!! although i have a carbon gooseneck adaptor on my SLX and i can normally interchange 3 different carbon goosenecks with 3 different brushes on the end but its stuck solid into the adaptor!!
ive tried loosing the clamp totally and gently trying to twist it off but to no avail!
so what do you reckon the solution is without breaking the damn thing??
ive got 10 days off now so im gonna flush both my SLX and CLX poles out with water and take my tank out of the van and give it a good rinse out!its got bits of crap in the bottom and some resin! ;D ;D
many thanks

Take the clamp bolt out and gently prize the clamp open with a very large flat head screw driver whilst pulling?

Obviously we will need to send you a replacement Resi-Neck but before that you need to get the old one off. The first thing to try is to get a second pair of hands, one to hold the top section and one to twist the Resi-Neck. If this fails, which would be a first, try submerging in a pan of boiling water for 20 seconds and try again.

Ring the Office for a replacement if you have trouble putting it back in the top clamp.

I had same problem, and after contacting Gardiners they sent a new one this week . . . . .now fitted, and works a treat.
Thanks Alex ;D

Rubber gloves give good grip.
-
my old one has always been hard to get in and out, got some bits this week and the new one is ok.
-
When you get it out use a file and reduce the diameter a bit I've had to do this with all 3 that I have.
They seem fine the first week or so then the clamp seems to reduce the diameter of the pole.
It's a real pain when you want to change brushes in a hurry and can't get the b*****y thing off.
