Hi Lads,
Just wondering what the most used cleaning schedule is is for you guys? I have always used monthly based on every 4 weeks and some that want it more often cleaned 2 weekly... over the last year new customers have wanted it cleaned based on every 6 weeks or every 8 weeks...
Wondering if with everyone stuggling for money these days that times are changing where we are going to be doing them all every 6 weeks or 8 weeks soon ;D

I took a business decision about 6 months ago that I will only offer monthly to new customers - much easier when quoting and more straight foward.
"For a house this size we charge £12 and we call to clean once a month" .... end of nice and simple no misunderstandings.
If a current customer wished to go from monthly then I will uplift them by about £4 .
Why some may say when a 2 month clean take no longer ? .... well as you say more people wanting longer intervals or do they ??
I think were to blame with trying too hard to please everybody ... customer happiness etc etc.
IMHO people who want clean windows ... I mean really want clean windows they want them done regular and are happy with monthly visits ............. poeple who want them done 2 monthly / 3 monthly are spending money on a grudge purchase because it needs doing and they cant be bothered to do it themselves ..... these customers i dont want or need these days.
A few on here will no doubt disagree with me but Bob Plumb took same decision about same time as me and its working for him as well.

of course there is always the exception to the rule and without contridicting myself for jobs over £50 then will look at doing them bimonthly for a reasonable uplift in price.

What did u used to do before this ian?
As said 90% of mine are monthly apart from some new customers lately and big houses and commercial. but i no a lot on here charge more but clean less frequently.

monthly or bimonthly
very few bimonthly left as turned into messers / slow payers so sacked a lot off
I used to be a little soft around the edges and beleived in trying to please em all nowadays just like to please proper customers who actually want a good window cleaner.
I beleive in high standards of customer service and quality of work so long as they stick to the rules of engagement
which are basically
monthly
pay in a timely fashion
dont ever say "not today" unless builders are in / on holiday / are dead.

i still think your soft around the edges...........but i like that in a man ;D
i also feel your maximising your income,if someone says "not this time" you still have 12 cleans to go but someone on 8 weekly your down to 5.5 and your going to clean once in a 16 week cycle and the discussions turns to "well thats going to be !!!!!!!! and we dont clean every 16 weeks etc etc etc.
I feel 4 weekly is better and if they do start missing us out then they are dispatched" (i dont use the word dumped anymore ;D)going up market
