Title: Carpet tiles

Can carpet tiles that are stuck to the floor be cleaned with HWE ?

just splash and dash  8)

Clean away as normal, some may move but go down pound shop and buy a can of spray addehisive before you clean, be aware of solvent spotters though as most tiles are gel or bittumen backed

lol,anything can be cleaned its  just somethings dont like to be !!   but hay i blame the makers right ?

Not quite chaps,

I wouldn't clean and treat low profile carpets as any other carpet.

Carpets have to be thoroughly vacuumed prior to cleaning if not you can end up with a brown mess as the soil starts to wick to the surface upon drying.

Low profile carpets/ tiles do not allow sufficient air flow so recovery is a problem with HWE.

Texatherm, DF or charly pads LM cleaning is a far better option.

Where poss i would use dry fusion, although not always if they are ridged,
i would use my truckmount, always remember to end your wand stroke in the middle of the tile to avoid too much water getting in the tile join.

I remember a post a while back from JB the effect of which was to say when cleaning carpet tiles never give in to the temptation to finish to finish your wand stroke at the join of carpet tiles as this will harbour a lot of dirt which might well wick up and cause problems. Finish your stroke mid tile maybe. Makes sense when you think about it.

No doubt John will issue his normall gentle correction if I have misquoted him.

if you are going to clean them on a regular basis then drill a couple of holes in the wand near where it hits the floor and that will create the air flow you need to clean them quite well,,,,,, be careful with buying spray glues to stick them down again as most sprays have a solvent in which is a no no. if they come up thre will be enough residue from the existing glue to put them back down again.
