Title: Ramp for STORM

Just gone back to porty and well impressed with the storm but as i am an old cunningham now(55) i think on going a ramp to get the storm into my swb transit is in order to keep me in tip top shape so anyone here recommend one for this task as loading on its back isnt ideal in my opinion with this heavy machine.All info as always appreciated guys/galls...................Alan(swindon)

My van is also SWB,Nissan Primastar,i load my porty just behind the cab,the ramp fits nicely behind it,i'd highly recommend the quality and the price,well,they're a steal really.Hope this is of use.

Good ramps ive got the 1.2m had it about 5 years and still going strong

I had same van, bought
Sheet of 15mm ply, screwed two strips either side to keep  machine fom falling off the ramp, job done.
Still using it 5 years later,also nice and light and dead easy to use.

Alan i have the Turbo which is slightly heavier, i have never had any problem as i tilt it back get the front wheels in the van and lift it in, that way you are never actually bearing the whole weight, don't know if the clearance on your van will allow this, but i think a ramp would require more effort than this method. I have on occasion loaded the machine with a full tank of 50 litres and i am no ex hod carrier by any stretch.

Hi James dont know its because i am a dumb Axx but tried that a couple of times and something seems to prevent me sliding it in so to speak not sure if its the cables(orange ones) or some other obstruction so will have to try loading while girlfriend looks to see what the obstruction is.......................Alan

I have the Storm and have a Citroen Dispatch and do the same as James, tilt and roll it on the van. Must admit i struggled with the weight at first and could not get it up flights of stairs. However 6 months on I managed to drag it up the stairs to a second floor flat, no problem. O.K I am a few years younger at 45 but its amazing what your body can adapt to given time.  Very pleased with the performance of the Storm. :)
