Title: Wind made me give up
Post by: g.brookes on October 16, 2012, 11:29:23 am
Extremely strong gusts here in manchester so took the executive decision after doing my shops to call it a day.  I dont have the patience to sit in the van for 2 hours waiting for it to stop.  I know i'm being a bit weak but better safe than sorry etc

Had a go earlier but with the wind around the 40mph mark rinsing the glass (wfp) was almost impossible. Also, being on the coast means that there's a lot of salt in the air.

The wind has dropped a bit and really I should go back out but I'm lazy sometimes.

When I was trad, I wouldn't have even got out of bed on days like this.

Looked too bad this morning so I waited til afternoon to see if wind died down.  Went out about 2.00pm and cleaned 3 houses but wind still too strong - so I warned all 3 custies that wind not ideal to clean in and ring if any problems - called it a day.  I don't mind cleaning in the wind and rain but it seems pointless if the wind means you may have to clean them all again the next day.

Spent the afternoon updating accounts so no time wasted really.

Hopefully better tomorrow.

Cheers, Tom
