Title: Cleaning in the Dark
Post by: Paul H on October 12, 2012, 08:02:14 pm
Ok

had a job early doors this morning commercial outside and ins... outside is WFP

having surveyed etc.. due to location , footfall , etc.. and all the other factors that go with cleaning in a city centre... i deemed it best to get started early doors this morning whilst all these factors where at their lowest (still dark)...around 7 am....

I thought it was best and gauged it so the job was more or less finished when daylight came...then i could check the results and spend a little more time if needed finsishing / rinsing etc... then be ready for the lass opening up early so i could box the insides off before the place opened for business...

anyways it worked out well ... its now a regular 4 weekly with the ins every 3 months,,

so having told the tale ... anyone else graft in the dark due to these or similar problems?

regards
Paul

Been cleaning windows in the dark for years got no choice due to having to get insides done as well
Sometimes i have missed a few marks on entrance door because of people not using door handles but i just get them after . MIKE

Working in dark is not good but sometimes we have to.
Ive even cleaned a conservatory roof in near pitch black.it was a customer rush job and they commented on a great job regardless to the conditions

We have a monthly contract were we clean 5 bus stations inside and out overnight. Not allowed to start until 11pm after buses stop running, have to be finished before 5:30am when they start again.

To be honest it is a nice job, see some unbelievable sites. One bus station has a family of foxes which are more than willing to come and take half a ham sandwich if we have one spare ;D
