Title: Do many of you have a hot system?
Post by: benny donnelly on October 11, 2012, 01:36:18 pm

So do many of you have a hot system or converting your system to hot? Would you say it was worth it and do you think the hot water does a better job?

I'm pondering over the idea myself but unless it makes a big difference in the clean that will be my deciding factor, oh and have lovely warm hands this winter to  ;)

I have just reinstalled my hot water.
I have a spare pump and varistream which I use to recycle the water in my small 125 L tank.
It takes 20 mins or so to get it up to 45° from that point each time I pump one of the barrels (I have 8 in the van) into the tank it passes through the hot system. I find it produces a more constant heat than 'on demand'.
Transfering the barrels is handy as I dont have to permenantly carry a large unbaffled tank that would take some securing.

We have 2 x L5's in the van, very good on new cleans, which we seem to have every week atm also good on snail trails & from cold it takes approx 5 mins to get hot to the end of the 100m of microbore
