showa 377 gloves with nitrile glove liners i use all year round.totally waterproof and cheap(around £6 a pair).i buy the liners from gardiners at around £5 for a 100 pairs.
if its really cold then the glacier "perfect curve" gloves come out although it has to be below freezing before i wear them!! ;D ;D ;D

Thanks lads, Hmmm so much choice isnt there, heh. i like the look of those joka polar the best but are they 100% water proof for wfp work?
i knwo daz as always got good ideas and i was tempted to buy your glove set up, but i cant be doing with poutting liners and gloves on all the time as i do a lot of travelling between jobs you see!
now, youngtown gloves, whaich ones are wrm and 100% water proof if any?
Many thanks

George,
I would say the Joka gloves are 99% water proof, unless you get some dribbles of water running into the insides, that is very rare though.

Only once did i have a tiny leak.... so i emailed the place i bought the joka gloves and they sent me a replacement pair... never had a leak in 2 years since....,and i still use the same pair.

Youngstown-s Waterproof Winter Plus...
Are these the ones to get in the youngtown range then the "joka polar" for below freezing conditions?
does that sound about right?
thanks
-
Do you use these gloves when trad or just wfp?
-
Youngs are better joka made your hands smell
-
Not sure about wfp but when I was trad I wore sealskinz for the last 3/4 winters, thought they were pretty good tbh.
-
Thanks everyone for ya help think ill try the youngstown first
-
Yea Youngstown gloves are much better gloves than joka but in extreme cold you do feel the finger tips going.
-
Youngs are better joka made your hands smell
wash the liner then
-

i also soak the main glove in hot water with detergent for an hour or so now and again which helps and just leave to dry in an airing cupboard

Will try thanx ;)

they've just arrived. super fast delivery! gloves should keep hands warm in any weather!
-
GB i know you think its a pain having glove liners but its not really.i only take mine off while eating my lunch and they stop your hands from smelling!i noticed before i used liners that no amount of scrubbing in the bath at night would get rid of the smell!
ive just got 200 pairs of nitrile glove liners from gardiners.£13-80 with delivery and VAT.money well spent IMO.i see them as essential bit of kit now. ;) ;D ;D
very best wishes

hey daz, well my idea is to wash the internal glove part on my new jokas regularly. btw, im only gonna wear these "joka polars when" its really cold i think!
But i might go for your idea actually for normal weahter everyday gloves, as its a cheap method to having 100% waterproof to stop the pure water wrecking the skin on my hands!
If i dont use your mothod of, liners plus "showa 977" (or whatever the name is) id like an 'everyday' glove thats 100% water poof!
thanks mate, i appreciate your time sir!
