About 2 months ago I bought a Floormac for aggitation.
I use it on a daily basis.
For the past few weeks I have been suffering from quite bad pains in my elbows and forarms and when I clench my fists the pain is worse still.I deliberating about going to the doctors but just asking the question...............................
Has this happened to any other CCers after after buying a rotary type machine?
Its strange that its happened so suddenly.
Or perhaps its just me being an old git.

Wayne, what method do you use when using the floormac?
Some people I notice wave it side to side like you would with a rotary - but it's a lot more comfortable if you use it in a vacuuming motion, forwards and backwards.
-
I have being using it both ways, back and forward and also side to side.
I can only think that this is whats causing the pains.

Stop holding it by the round bit!!

Stop holding it by the round bit!!
;D
I find the floormac glides over most carpets without much effort - perhaps you're holding it too tight, or not wetting the carpet enough to get enough lubrication?
Or it's w@nkers cramp..

I've been getting the symptoms you mention. I've put it down to too many years sitting at a desk. I think it's the 'gripping' action that's causing it. A bit of stretching out the hand/fingers and some mild pain killers/non-inflammatory tabs seems to help. I'm hoping I'll just get stronger and it'll go away.

Have you thought it could be Tendonitis, a swelling of the tendons? Easily cured by anti-inflammatories. I'm not a doctor but suggest you go see one.
-
Tennis elbow or tendonitis to give it its proper name, have had it and a lot of tradesman get it. Ibuprofen helps but it takes a long time to heal itself.

You will probably find the problem is your neck as much as your arms.

If the pain runs from your arm to your hand it could be carpol tunnel syndrom
