that is what I would like to know Simon..
After all I only use LM or encap methods, and I use solutions stuff as I have not been shown/given to try anything else that may do the job better..
;D

Its about 25 quid a tube, just buy it you mingebags.
It dilutes up to 128-1
Ive just got a tub (paid for it) that im going to try on a couple of large commercial jobs this week so i will comment on how good it is to JK new encap and Releaseit encap.

I'm not a carpet cleaner but thinking of getting into it and thought I'd give LM a go as it appears to be a good way to dip my toe in...
Therefore I bought some last week from Restoramte at £28.50 for 4 litres. Can buy direct from dynamall.co.uk Tried it at home over the weekend using an oreck orbiter and a microfibre bonnet which was presoaked in water and rung out. I used it on two carpets, it brought the colours out brilliantly and took out most of the stains on the first hit, after a few trials I made a point of presoaking any stains and going over a couple of times.. they all vanished!! saying that, the carpets weren't massively dirty to start with but the solution made a huge difference anyway!!! If anything the colours looked richer and brighter if that makes sense.
Would anyway say that using a CRB system would be any better as this would raise the pile of the carpet???
I mixed according to dynamall 's recommendations of 1x10 however later maintenance is recommended at 1x15... Smells good too but not overpowering. And of course carpets got dry within minutes... Still experimenting meanwhile...

Rb, I find microfibre pads too absorbant for encap, better to use a brush, or better yet a pad with 'agitation strips' built in.
-
my pad have these blue strips of stiffer bristles, is that what you mean? I though of the little brushes you can get for the Oreck as a way to spread the solution and maybe lift the fibres, would that work?
-
Creighton foule does lm I believe that he uses a contra rotating machine.

It's very versatile can be used in your hwe machine especially where they have problem with bad odours, got local radio station to do and they loved the smell see if I can get a free plug tomorrow ;D
-
I tried some out on a domestic job, carpet was a standard polyprop... I found using my TM5 produced the best results as this lifted the pile as well as all the human and pet hair... Even after a good ore vac with the kirby.
Low profile carpets would benefit more from a rotary, Solutions now stock a rather good green MF with blue agitation strips which work very well.
Not sure you could do a comparison with DF as I'm not sure DF is strictly an encap product?
-
Wait till you try it with the orbot ;D, now that machine does liftbthe pile :D
-
Iv'e ordered some for a commercial tomorrow instead of Surround. Hope the endorsements aren't some BS sales patter. I would imagine because its UK made there is some more margin in it and a few more connections

On domestics it doesn't perform as well in my opinion unless you hwe but it works out expensive to use it like that
-
What mix did you put down on that stain?
1 -10 or 1 - 4 ?
-
1-10 mix
-
Is this a new product? How does it stand up to existing encaps? I must say the videos look impressive.
-
Dan
I only used it for encapping so i couldnt tell you if it stands up against powerburst or shockwave... remember this has a PH of about 6 which is slightly on the acidic side of the scale which is unusual... i spilt some on by table the other day.. it looks almost like its oil based.
-
Peroxide boosted products need to be on the acid side of the ph scale to allow the compatible polymer to work effectively.
