Hi all,
trying to build a diy trolly for WFP . Watched waggas Utube videos and have it all done. After much faffing about got it pumping water, however when I changed barrels there is an imediate air lock. The hose comes out of the barrel when putting on new barrel which sits on top of the pump box. Does it need priming each time and if so how. Or I could be missing something easy and basic. Any help please. Ta

I have done the same and is a a pain. I just use a hoselock connector the one that connect too couplers and just suck on it or have container higher and sometimes gravity works it. The other option is turning pump up putting tap on close and reopening which sometimes works..
Pure freedom have filter system on theres dont know hwether it helps.
Cheers

What about a one way valve so the water cant drain back out

Purefreedom have a strainer that fits on the hose which goes inside the barrell. When you change barrells you dont need to release the airlock as the strainer closes off therefor no air.
When you start the day you release the air and then just change over the barrels all day long and it will be fine.
I found this out after some years. You need a strainer for the pump anyway so just use this one. Its about £14.00 delivered.

I have pure freedom and have to still prime it up on every change off barrel the valves on end off hose in barrel don't make a difference , it just as easy to turn pump up full for a few secs then away you go
