Probably a chap who moved from Chichester to Wick, Caithness and used to pop down for three or four days a month while he waited to sell his round.
That's about 540 miles each way according to Google although I would have thought it further.

About 10 to 12 miles each way along the coast from here in Brighton.
I also have work in East London which is about 90 miles by road but as we have a flat there, I suppose it doesn't really count.
-
used to travel from prestatyn to stockport and back about 130 miles a day plus traveling all day while working :'(
-
My furthest work is 55 miles away (some holiday homes that I do annually).
Of my regular work, I have a day's worth 25 miles away (3 weekly).

My daughter lives 55 miles away. I clean her windows every time we visit them. ;-).
Apart from that I clock up 30 miles a day canvassing in a village where mrs h works. Very convenient and a tax deductible one at that.
-
12 miles - nope, 10! I dumped the furthest one last visit (remember the post-it note episode?) ;D

33 miles :o
