Title: Yellow pages
Post by: premier window cleaners on September 29, 2012, 12:58:57 pm
We'll soon renewing our advertising in yellow pages. Does anyone still use yellow pages or do you think it's better to put the money into yell.com?
Any thoughts?

Thanks
Jonathan

I would say yellow pages is old hat and yell.com too expensive. search google for your desired search term ie window cleaner in "" and see where yell.com ranks.
I would invest the money in SEO for your own website.

I have stopped advertising with yell/yell.com as I have work coming in by word and mouth as one of my contracts was recommended from this site. As I had very little work from yell just one contract in two years of been with them but had a load of cold callers that came from them in which is wasting my time.

Nower days I would put them on the back burner for the time been.
And see how you can rank your own website and how much work you get from that and if you don't want a big lay out on website's try vista as alot use them and they are cheaper than some and you get to create your own style of webpages. :-)
