Title: I need a 25' Pole
Post by: Morph on January 27, 2006, 05:44:41 pm
Has anyone used any of the Brodex eco lite poles?

I need a 25' pole.  Preferably light.  With standard adjustable neck connection on the end.

Does that mean no one wants one?
Or they're no good?
Or someone else is better?

Or no one is interested in 25' poles?

Have I worded the topic wrong?
I need some help.

I already have a 35' c/f pole but the brush head connection is not what I want.
I have an 18' which is fine for most average houses, but I've picked up a job which really needs approx 25' with connection for a standard neck...(So I can use my salmon brush :D)
Maybe I'll try another supplier.  Most seem to do 24 or 30.  I can't wait 10 days for a tailormade one.  I need it next week.  I should have ordered yesterday really.
I was hoping for more guidance from you geniuses. ;)

yes, thats who I'm looking at.  Maybe I'll get a 30' or 35'.  Don't think they do 25' as a standard.

Thanks Gaz

Pat

ps.  "For sale...35' c/f pole.  Hardly used!"

I was only joking really, Dave.  Although I haven't used it as much as I thought so far, because of the brush head.  Its good on straight forward jobs, but anything a bit of a challenge and you've got no adjustment.
You know the one.  Ionics c/f top of range.  £900!!!!!
If I can alter the head I'd use it a lot more.
Lets see if my wife(The brains) will help me get this photo on here.

Here gooes again...
Not a thread connection to the pole.  Stuck fast.  Which is good if thats what you want.  2 allen key screws tighten onto neck.  Goose? Swan? Cormorant? I dunno, I'm newboy

Pat,what i would do is to remove the neck even if you use force or even cut it off  ;D
then theres an addaptor that can be fitted in the end it has a thread to be able to take the other type of adjustable neck which is more common,
go on Pat go for it get out your hammer and saw  :D,Gaz

Thanks Gaz.

£923.49 inc Vat.  Nice eh? :(
It will have to do a lot more work yet, before it's earned it's place in my van.
Highest bid??

just get a 30ft pole and don`t extend top section...24ft...simple ;D ;D
Im not as stupid as I look Steve.  Or should that be, I may be stupid but I don't look it?
Anyway, 30ft it will be.  But since I'm not an ex-para Liverpuddle, and I am 52 with heart disease and diabetes, every kilo I can shave off the weight of the pole is important to my future life prospects. ;D

24' pole from Express Cleaning Supplies
Thanks Glyn.  Bit more than I want to spend, and same problem with the neck as my 35' pole from ionics.
I've just got back from looking at the job again and I think 30' would be better.
But as light as I can get.  Thanks guys.
