On a post yesterday, I was advised that a property that I clean with 25 windows would need 75-100 litres to clean it
I have several like this so I worked out:
If I do say just 10 in a day @75-100 litres,I would need to carry 750-1000 litres.
How on earth do I do this as most WCs on here have 350-500 tanks from what I understand
I am confused !!

You get used to how much water you need, some don't have pump controllers or taps, I have both, so we have a 650L tank for 2 of us and never run out in a day.
-
Buy a 650 litre tank and it will give you plenty of room for expansion. Buy small, buy twice. I work on my own and still have a 650 litre tank.

Good advice mate - when I started, I bought the biggest tank my van would hold - with ambitions that I would eventually need to fill it every day.
I've just bought a 1000ltr static because I'm starting to struggle on some rounds

When I started I had a 400l tank but the faster I started to work, the more work I did, the more water I needed. And that was just on residential. I struggle emptying 650l on domestic but have done so on very busy days.

How do you guys only use say 600 litres when I need to use 75 litres on only one house ?
-
its only for the first cleans you would use that amount of water
-
Their are time when you can use 75 liters on a first clean if they a heavily soiled . Understand the the principal of cleaning glass you will float the dirt of glass and as you carry on and learn more, you will use less water.
-
you will most probably only use 25-30 litres on a regular clean on your 25 house windows ,
I have a 400 ltr tank mate and always get through a good days work , Mike

I live in a flat 14 floors up. I use the tap in a the car park which has meant I've learnt to be carefull and intelligent about how much water I use when working because although I use a merlin (plus di) it still takes time every evening to fill up.
I reckon on about 20 - 25 ltrs for a large deteched house plus conservatory. I may not do it as quick with those that can have the flow on full whack but as neccessity is the mother of invention, I've learnt what works best and most efficiently when pure water is at a premium.
For a the standard CIU 3 bedroom semi, I use maybe 15 ltrs.
For first cleans, I use the customers tap water first to get the dirt off - with their permission of course. I use a 25ltr barrel that I fill from their tap and as I use a DIY trolley system as both a van mount and as a trolley, I can pick and choose the best way to do the job.
If they have no outside tap, then I just have to use the pure stuff but even then, I'll wet the glass and frames, turn the flow off, scrub, maybe give it a quick rinse, turn the flow off again, scrub, and then wash and rinse as normal.
In a day I have never used more than 200 ltrs and generally I use 150 - 175 ltrs and sometimes even less than that.
Added later: It's best to just get out there and give it a go and then re read the advice given and other posts on similar subjects because then it has more meaning to your situation.

I work on my own and can use upto 455 litres in a day.

Hi Dazmond, sorry if this sounds like a daft question, you set your flow controller at 60, how many litres a minute is
that, and how many house's could you do max in a day on a full tank.
