i did a new customer today, while on the flat roof cleaning the windows, the son of the owner let 2 rhodesion ridgebacks out in the garden, they spent the whole time just watching my every move, a little unnerving., i carried on and kept one eye on them.
i had only come across one of these before and that had got out of the garden and attacked some one riding a bike, they call them the lion dog.

Two Doberman I encounter regularly are very friendly as is the Ridgeback and three Great Danes I met last week.
Used to take my Greyhound out to work with me - not so much security but more sloth.
Always kept the day chilled though.
Miss him.

I used to clean for a local celebrity with an absolutely mental Springer Spaniel.
Usually it would be friendly and placid but would sometimes become aggressive for no reason at all.
When it had puppies I was cleaning inside the house at a considerable distance from it when it ran at me barking and bit my hand and leg. I kicked it a couple of times and it slunk back into the kitchen.
Next visit it looked very subdued and apologetic and came to see me for a cuddle and peace was restored.
Next visit I was outside talking to the nanny and it wandered out of the house, saw me and tried to attack me again.
The nanny looked amazed and I asked her politely if she could excuse me for a second and then I ran towards the dog shouting abuse and threatening it with dire consequences.
It ran back inside and I never had any trouble with it after that as it used to hide when it saw me.
That's the type of dog that scares me the most because it's so unpredictable - you then worry about what it could do to a child ?

I cleaned a house 3 months ago, with a dog inside that i had stroked before, ( a border collie) but this day owners were out, so when i finished i put a call back card in and the thing bloody bit me, right into my finger, ripping my finger nail off :'( :'(
very painful , 3 hours up the hospital, £18 in presrciptions and i couldn't do any ten pin bowling for three weeks >: thankfully and most importantly though i could still work, she said the dog dosn't like hands coming through the letter box and that she's normally shut in the living room, the daughter for got to close the door, mmmm i said you should have a box on your wall for mail, if that had been a childs finger they would have lost it, ..... they still not put box up. and yes i still clean their windows, but i've learnt a lesson, and a painful one, never trust a dog, specially when putting call back cards in.
here's a pic if you want to see it ....
