Title: Clean Talk
Post by: stuart_clark on September 26, 2012, 01:52:54 pm
When I became a member of Cleantalk back in 2003 it was a totally different forum! It was a place that Carpet cleaners could chatt openly about any topic
Nowadays its so Biased towards Solutions Products, and if yoiu are found talking or Discussing another suppliers product for any length of time, the post is either Lockled or Deleted
It makes me just about to want to through up, the way guys go on there , talking about the other products, they used to use , the likes of Prochem and Chemspec and Craftex And refering to them as Rubbish Compared to Nicks Products, Gullable or what? I Think CT should be re named

NICKS NUMPTIES

I agree they're biased, but there is also a lot of knowledge on there. Post any serious question about carpet cleaning and you will get a definitive answer. Can't ask for much more really.

Worth putting up with a bit of their bias I'd say.

Blimey what is it with this site for goodness sake that gets so many peoples backs up ,dont know the guy or anyone on there, but have been on site for curiosity`s sake ,and as Ian said it can be very informative not just cleaning carpets ,so does this make me one of Nicks numpties then .Bit like the TV really if you dont like it dont go on it.

Ian's right.

If you want good advice, without personal abuse, it's a good place to go.

You are right Hector.

Honest truth.... one of my customers is a dominatrix.

She runs a Mistress / Slave membership website. If anyone complains they are humiliated and have their membership fee doubled. One guy has had his fee raised four times and loves it.

The lady in question is really entertaining and makes me howl (with laughter), with her stories.

Stuart - why don't you grow up a bit mate? Its obvious from your posts over the last few months you have had a few run in's with Nick.

Whatever its about you need to deal with it with them and stop just trying to slate them all the time on forum's- it doesnt prove anything other than your pride has taken a bashing and you are upset you can't post on CT at the moment. If you weren't bothered why keep going on about it? If they are all so cr~p at Solutions you are better off without them surely?

Its all starting to make you look very childish i am afraid and your spelling just isn't up to writing such big posts  ;D

Just chill Stuart it's not worth getting stressed about this continued attack of CT and Nick is boring now.
The guys on there are not stupid or numpties as you put it, if Solutions products didn't work then they would not sell. I buy their chemicals because they are good, however I also buy cleansmarts, Prochem, chemspec because they are also good. The bottom line is you don't like Nick, we all get that but it needs to be dropped now. If you had your own forum sponsored by your company you wouldn't want others promoting the competition either.

Like it New Look Clean. Anyone who doesn't know the difference between their, there & they're shouldn't be allowed out to play. Going back in my hole now. Bye.

The forum is run by Nick and he can do what he wants on his forum and to promote his own business. You just have to use a bit of common sense when using it, i can be a useful tool and i have received some helpful and knowledgeable information over the years.
Do i take everything said on it as gospel ? no, and sometimes it can get a bit childish when members deride other machines for example by giving them silly nicknames, the  attitude can be a bit condescending but it is to be expected, but no apology is required it's a tool to promote the use of their machines and chemicals, i imagine you tell people your the best or at least better than most other carpet cleaners.

I think Mr Roffey has summed it up perfectly, some great advice being dished out on there - let's not forget that its a free resource, just pays to have a slightly cynical hat on when it comes to chems & equipment.

Some great guys on there who know the industry inside out, and I know they've helped plenty of people who have no affiliation to the company.

Yes he can do what he wants on his forum but that's inevitability going to alienate some people.

Here, Stuart can balance up the odds, I mean if he has no voice over there anymore. Really Nick should not let things get to this stage with his clients, eg. I've never heard a bad word against JK.

You could say its a bad strategy by Clean Talk because this happens often.

my thoughts for what they are worth as a newbie;   nice "forum" although it isnt a forum in the usual sense of the word, its a very good marketing site for one company!!! no scope for any other suppliers, hence my post yesterday re clean smarts customer service being instantly deleted. lots of very good in depth knowledge to be tapped into, for which im very appreciative, so, as long as i dont get deleted for mentioning another company, buying a different machine, after some very poor customer service from this nick character im all for it. some aspects of the forum may be counter productive as i like the look of some of the products from solution, but now really dont know???
have to say ive had some really nice advice from some of the chaps on there, but dont really like the orwellian aspect of the site.....

james roffey put it brilliantly. well done mate . ... im relatively new to cc and have gained knowledge from this forum and more recently on cleantalk .. reading some of the posts on there it does seem at times from the outside looking in like robin hood and his merry men . especially when you see some of the kisass comments about solutions ..BUT  most are pros who are only too willing to help . stuart all i can say is GET OVER IT and move on . you'll end up in a looney bin if you hang on to this .
                                                          kind regards
                                                                         dan

PS.. see hector for a hypnotherapy cd it'll make u feel much better

It's quite surprising who comes on this forum we as moderators see this from the control panel but just as CT could be classed as 'cover up' cleanitup is classed as 'scream it up' but most of us whether posting or not do go on either forum to see if they are missing out on anything if either forum ever ceased to exist who would miss out?

Makes a refreshing change not to have the usual witch hunt ! all the suppliers have been on the receiving end of one at one time or other.

This is cleanitup isn't it    all together now BURN HIM, BURN HIM
