Hi, still looking into WFP and these are my estimates based on looking at say, Gardiners, Pure Freedom, ebay.etc.
At House
450 gpd RO £230
Booster Pump for RO £120
1000 litre Holding Tank £300
Transfer Pump £80
Transfer Hose £60
In Van
400 litre Tank £200
100 psi Pump and Controller £200
Leisure Battery £80
11 Litre DI Vessel £100
100 m hose and reel £100
Pole and brushes £280
Various fittings £50
Total £1800 (approx)
Plus time to source and install
Does this seem a fair case of budgeting?
Any advice on savings to be made or anything I'm getting wrong please point out.
Thanks

Do you need 450gpd?
Do you need the booster pump?
That 1000l tank seems pricey to me, i picked up both my ibcs for £25 off farmers, need a bit of a clean but perfect.
Transfer pump from screw fix is about £30
Look around for 400 tank, you should be able to get one for around £100, their always for sale on here.

Try smiths of Forest of Dean for ibc
They reasonably priced and new and they didn't used to charge much to deliver considering the size of them

That's what I was gonna say. You should be able to pick up a 75/85 ah battery for £50-£60.
Could try local motorspares shop.

Also it's handy to have a box to put your leisure battery into in the van.
Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARAVAN-MOTORHOME-RED-PLASTIC-LEISURE-BATTERY-BOX-/150744222148?pt=UK_Campervan_Caravan_Accessories&hash=item23190e49c4#ht_500wt_969
Once you have bought your leisure battery you will know what size battery box you will need to buy.

11 litre di vessel ???
think you might only need that if your in soft water area , ro for hard water ..
-
Thanks for replies.
Don't I still need a DI even with the RO?
-
Yes you will.... it will just last longer.
Whats your tds ?
-
TDS 180
-
I personally have the di in the garage with the ro. Saves having to fit it in the van, unless you want to be able to top the tank up on demand.
-
Your RO should remove over 95% of the contaminants so with an input TDS of 180 and a rejection of 95% you should end up with a TDS of 9 or less, perfectly okay for cleaning windows. If your not happy with the results then add the DI.

I still polish after but then i always wonder why bother?

if there is a local toolstation near you get your submersible pump from there I saved £10 on screw fix prices, mind you my transfer hose was nearly as much as the pump
