Many youtube videos showing CRBs used for encap cleaning, some specially built for encapping with tanks attached. Is it possible to achieve good results with a CRB? Anyone tried this method?

I would think that if you were using a crb with attached solution tank, it'd pay to remove the recovery tank so that more product stays in the carpet - but otherwise crb make for good encap machines.

tried encap with a roto wash, no where the same revery *friendly* persons as a cimex , get the correct tools for the job is the answer.

I should have stated, CRB can be better on some carpets (cut pile etc) than rotary type machine, but the Cimex is a beauty - but then you pay for the privilege.

At this moment I can't justify the cost of a cimex but I would like to approach some commercial customers and use the equipment I have already. Found these vids last week and I was wondering it could be a nice little add-on (if it works).

Unless its a broadloom I would recommend you buy a std speed rotary a sprayer and a selection of encap pads. Charge a decent price for your work and start saving for a cimex (or a Borg)

Rotary is on the shopping list, just wanted to know if a rotowash would do the trick. Could save some space in the van too :)

On tiles or glue down rotowash will be okay but won't perform as well as the rotary,
Steve Gunn put up an eBay link othe TACCA Facebook group last night for a rotary at a great price.

Thanks Jamie, I had a look at that listing this afternoon. It is not that urgent, just wanted to know the potentials of the machine. I have learnt something very important during the last two years: life is much easier if you have the right equipment. A Cimex is on the shopping list now (its a very very long list), not sure about that rotary, seems way too cheap.
