Title: Been SACKED!
Post by: andrew hamshare on September 24, 2012, 01:36:12 am
This weekend I received my P45 in the post. Been sacked.

Went in this afternoon to say goodbye to the friends I've made and amazingly picked up a £50 clean and a £20 pm customer. I could  have cried.

I was on one of those zero hour contracts. Being an ex union official I never lied it and then whilst driving to work I get a call on Friday telling me they had computer problems so I wasn't needed.

On Monday they said take either annual leave or unpaid leave so I tried to negotiate. Alas, 'you're zero hours Andy, that's the way it is' from the managers mouth.

I asked him to reconsider and let me know what his decision was. Loud and clear Mr Postman delivered his reply on Saturday morning...P45. w****rs.

Mrs H works there on a contract so I begrudgingly took her in and whilst chatting to the others one of them asked me do do a deep clean + monthly on her flat.

Funny how things work out ay?
