Spent all day yesterday swapping systems.
650 from my transit to a mates transit
then his 500 into my replacement Combo.
had signwriter do his stuff whilst all this going on
then spent a few hours redoing the wiring, got rid of all the dodgy scotchlocks etc and soldered all the jonts and replaced some lengths of wire all together as that many joints ;D

got roof bars to sort out and get interior trim back in that I removed to hide wiring to battery - twin pumps - one to van battery and one to leisure battery.

im sure a 500L TANK is too much for the payload of a combo ian.what is the payload its not 1000kg thats for sure!!i wouldnt put anything above a 350L in the back of that mate.with a full tank and all your other gear and you, you ll be WELL OVER THE PAYLOAD LIMIT!!!

I think some have 850 payload so with a 500 he will be just ok as ladders and him and the trad gear don't weigh 200 kg that's for sure

What about petrol, trad gear, poles, hoses reels and hoses, warning cones and other bits and bobs.

they only did two combos of that year 795kg payload and the smaller one is 575 payload so i would think a 500lt tank with you and the diesel/ other bits and bobs would be over weight but that's just my opinion.

Payload on this Combo is 595KG so defo overweight if driven with full tank :o :o :o :o
Will only be filled to 350 / 400 litres max when driven but got flexability when on site at larger jobs when van not driven to DI fill tank to full as van not move once parked.
Also will use DI from a customers tap if running low mid day but 95% of time 300 to 350 litres enough for day to day work load.
Option was to shell out £1200 for recon fuel pump on my 2005 transit but decided not worth it as only need summit like clutch to go then becomes a moneypit so spent £1500 on this Combo and free swap on system and Transit going on EBAY tonight as spares / repair and may get good chunk of money back that spent on Combo.
Will see me thru winter then more than likely sell it with system and lease a new one with hot water from April ish.

will be cleaning van tomorrow and minting it all up inc alloys ... cambelt first thing and service Monday then ready to roll :)

yup agree with that ... need to remedy that as soon as I have built website for now only got domain www.1wc.co.uk

hi Ian is that combo a 1.7cdti or the 1.3cdti? also dose it come in the euro 5 category
