i use single d i sum say if you twin vessels resin will last longer
-
Only works if your di I.
Say water is 70tds and you filter it through di to 000tds. You change it at 005 or whatever you do. Well once the first direct has reach the tds you change at, put a fresh batch of different between the first vessel and the output (tank or reel). The tds of the original resin will still bring the tds down of the input water even though it's higher than you want. This means that the freshest different is doing less work than getting 70tds

It's a sound idea.
I run through di unit's into my truck tank.
Just make sure that the best resin is in the second di unit and swap accordingly...

Typically what size di vessels do you use , Currently using ro but seriously thinking about Di only to reduce water wastage , and do away with having storage tank , Mike

Whats your tds ? it might cut down your water useage going di only, but could cost you more in resin
-
Tds ranges between 25-75 ppm at the most so i know i will be ok with di only. Mike

Yep id go for di only in your case

my tds is always bout 36 i put new resin in on 27th may so using 2 vessels. my old resin went to 30 on 9th july so been on single resin since then & needs changing this week as its up to 10 & i'll be on 2 vessels again. so that 1 resin vessel has lasted 3 days shy of 4 month but i had 3 weeks off for summer, i use between 200 & 350 ltr a day. i use 11 ltr vessels

i use a monster 25L DI vessel and when it rises to 010 i put my small 2.7L vessel full of fresh resin in front of it until the large DI reaches my tap tds(which is normally 35-40)then keep using the small DI until its get to 010 then put that in front off the 25L FULL of fresh resin and so it goes on!
my 25L DI usually lasts 5 or 6 months before needing fresh resin! ;) ;D ;D ;D
