Title: Suspended Ceiling Tiles
Post by: Timmy Boy on January 26, 2006, 05:28:16 pm
Guys
Has anyone got a pretty good solution for cleaning suspended ceiling tiles, they are near a warehouse door and have diesel soot all over them. I tried a broom & a hoover which did an ok job but is there something that anyone has found works better.
Your comments would be appreciated
Regards
Tim

Yes - swap them with tiles from another area.....................like a cupboard or something.  :o

Tim,

Ashby`s have two chemicals which you mix together and spray on to the tiles and they come up like new then you wipe of the supporting bars. but if done in situ then you will have to cover everything and wear full protection suits.
Very messy but very effective. (acoustic tile cleaner)

CMS, like the idea but knowing my luck the client will say 'what a great job, can you have a look at the ceiling tiles in the cupboard, they are really dirty!' ;D

tim,

try vera-brite.

it a formula especially for all types of ceiling tiles and acoustical structures.

be very careful not to soak the tile, lightly apply and wipe off.

web address for them is

www.allproducts.com

best of luck
