I keep my kit in boxes on the van floor. As I've accumulated more and more kit my VW Transported is now full up, and I can't get my blowers in.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a racking system for my van - the floor space is used up, but there's loads of vertical height unused.

www.autorack.co.uk might give you some ideas, even if you just build it yourself.
If you're not too handy with saws and screwdrivers you surely know a mate who's a chippie... some beer tokens in his back pocket at the weekend and he should be able to build whatever you want
Use your roof and insides of the back doors to mount stuff on, really helps maximise the space ;)

Thanks Jim and Dan.
Dan, your post cost me £219.59 :)

Nice bit of shevling! fancy that myself!

Going by your post above David, you've already taken the plunge and bought some racking. The other option would be a DIY job using reasonably heavy duty ply and timber battening. I did my Transporter myself and use clear plastic "really useful boxes" to store less used items. It keps them organised and stops them from moving around in the back of the van.

If you could see my vauxhall combo with my airflex storm in, along with about 50 litres of chemicals and 3 tanks amongst other stuff, you'd laugh. Ive run out of verticle hight and now have to use passinger seet!

im sure it's £219.59 well spent ;D
i think u need a bigger van joe ;D

Hydramaster UK sell very good shelving.

Thanks again Dan.
I fitted the wheel arch kit on the near side (no modifications required). It's perfect. It swallowed up loads of kit:

I'll be fitting the other section behind the driver seat, tomorrow...

To save space and weight don't carry so many chems, use smaller containers ?
-
And if anyone is interested here's the second rack section fitted (viewed from the van side opening door), I've not added the (supplied) top section as I'm not sure I need/want it. Note, the shelves tilt/slope backwards, so things stay in place better):

This racking system is exactly what I needed.

That`s better Dave...Also try what Davep said plus it saves fuel..Plus if you view jobs before you do the clean you will know what chemicals to use mate so only put them in the van.

I would give the ply some type of coating, even if it were marine
