Is the rain that falls from the sky pure ( 000 on a TDS meter ) until it hits the ground or anything that will contaminate it ?
Is it safe to drink pure water ?

I think rain water is around 15ppm and I think you can drink pure water if its from the RO and before it goes through the resin.
I may be wrong?

Each rain droplet has to have a minute speck of dust for the water vapour to start to condense. That immediately makes the TDS higher than 0ppm, though I don't know by how much - not a lot, I guess. As the rain drops fall they pick up more contamination from the atmosphere - again airborne dust particles. The TDS of freshly fallen rain must therefore depend on how dusty the air is.
As for drinking RO water - RO's were invented to produce drinkable water so the answer has to be yes. Whether drinking it after DI is a good idea, I don't know. Anyone care to try it and let us know the outcome? ;D

it can fluctuate a little I sometimes measure it and the lowest I ever measured was 8ppm,sad I know!!
