I know it is really hard to quote 'blind'..... However it is based in Birmingham and has 323 upvc windows, almost all of them easily accessed with wfp.
It has not been cleaned for 2/3 years and they want the insides done yearly and the outsides done either every six or twelve months.
I am thinking of submitting the following quote:
INSIDES DONE ANNUALLY. £845 initially, and then potentially £645 thereafter (tbc).
OUTSIDES DONE ANNUALLY: £795 initially, and then £695 thereafter
OUTSIDES DONE EVERY SIX MONTHS: £795 for the first clean and then £495 thereafter.
Will not be charging VAT as am under the threshold (???)
What are your thoughts please?

I know there is a north south divide and I am further north but that seems way to pricey to me

Have a guess at how long it will take you, rounding up to the nearest half day. then your minimun price is what you would earn in that time on domestics.

Bob hope and no hope....

I thought I was expensive. I will be suprised if they go for it. Sorry to be negative

is the job local .if not add travel time
dont do yourself .but dont forget its very competive.
is your qoute the only one
how long do u think it will take you
some may laugh but if that job was local to me n it took say 1 day
id be happy with £250. but then i would probly be under cut .by someone else .you may go in with those prices hope you get it .
but if you dont would you kick your self for not going in for a liveable day wage . hope this makes sense . good luck north star.

i'm not experienced enough on this type of job, but to keep it simple, if it was me i would do what some of the guys have said and would work out how much you want daily and then multiply it by that - its a s simple as that to me. If you dont get it, then maybe you dont want it unless you are prepared to work for less than you would normally want :)

seems a bit pricey tbh :o
I would defo work out a daily rate and quote that way

I'm probably going to put in the quote as follows: For the school I think about 3 days for the insides. Add a half day so 3.5 days. The price will then be 210 x 3 = 630 plus 110 = £740.
For the outside I can probably do it in a day and a quarter am going to add a half day here also. 1.75 x 210 so £367.50. Will let you know if I get the job!

Yeah hes really gonna tell you.

Just price the job up at a figure you would be happy to do it for.
I've only ever quoted on a few schools and the one's I looked at were very dirty so I priced them at what I wanted to earn from the job......................and never got any of them! ;D
To be honest I wasn't bothered as I didn't want to do a job that was lower than that I can earn doing houses.
Don't underestimate how long the job might end up taking you.

Northstar
I work all over brum and have done many a school including some quite loacally to where you live, I am also a school governor, this gives me a insight to what their budget is.
The school will go for 3 quotes and the lowest will win.
If I was the governor looking at your quote, i would instantly dismiss it.
I think that the biggest problems you have at the moment are, you have never cleaned this type of property before and your predicting on how long it will take is slightly wrong, you do not have a wfp.
If it was me quoting for that school, I would do the following, I would have me on the outside wfping and have 2 day cleaners on the insides, after I had finshed the outside I would conduct a quality inspection of the inside and rectify any problems I come across.
-
Go for it . I have cleaned several high schools for that kind of money east lancs. but have only come on annually

Always price what you think is right and worthwhile to you and not cheap as chips just to get the job.i have commercial work i can earn 400 a day on my own and wouldnt drop my prices for anyone.
