I buy snickers or dickies work trousers from wickes, loads of handy pockets and reflective bits on the back of the legs handy for those dark mornings/afternoons, put thermal leggings under if really cold.
Boots - karrimore toe capped rigger boots fleece lined, lighter than they look and warm and waterproof, handy because they slip on so easily removed if you have to go through carpeted houses, £29.99 from sports direct, simon

I wear the same. I've never found anything to beat them.

craghoppers here as well.they are waterproof and light and not too warm!i wear them all year round.goretex jackets and boots as well.
for me i need waterproof clothing and footwear all year round.the sheer amount of wet weather we have coupled with working with water and hoses its essential!nothing worse than being wet and cold outside in winter!!
-
ski salopettes i get a couple of pairs from aldi each year waterproof
warm and breathable and the ones i bought last year you could unzip
the inner liner so you wear all year
at £20 a pair a real bargain!

We only wear Strauss gear. Lasts for ages, good quality stuff. We only wear black as this doesn't show up any dirt so easily. Bit pricey, but worth every penny.

-
Just get down your local go outdoors mate.
