Is anyone interested in a training course on how to clean high quality, expensive rugs? The ones that cost £1,000's, e.g. Chinese silk rugs.
I've an opportunity to get some professional training from a leading expert in this area. If there were a small group interested I could approach this contact and try to set up a one-day course at some point soon. Charges would probably be in-line with other similar training courses. I think the venue would be in the North of England.
Anyone interested PM me for further details.

There is an advanced taking place with John Bryden in the Highlands at his rug shed in the new year.
A bit of a treck but I am pretty sure the fee includes food and accommodation.

Any more details Jamie could fancy a trip out

Not yet. Several people have contacted me so far.
I'm holding out to speak with other well established trainers in the trade, who I'll be seeing in 4 weeks (on another course).

After being at johns for a weekend in june and talking to him about this and how he goes about cleaning and restoring rugs, my name was 1st on the list, this is one not to be missed if you have any interest in rugs :)
I think David, he was on about the John Bryden course

Ok, let me give a little detail about why I'm interested in this training:
Firstly, I don't know how to clean high end rugs, and have already turned work down because of this.
Secondly, I've been led to believe I could charge up to 9 times my 'standard carpet cleaning charge' for cleaning expensive rugs.
I'm not sure what size the market is for this type of work - but it doesn't take a genius to work out you don't have to clean many to hit break-even point.

This is a multi day course costing around £1000.
Please only contact if you can see the value in this investment.
John has recently returned from guest lecturing at the Pittsburgh Rug Tour is a Woolsafe Inspector, Master Rug Cleaner and out and out geek when it comes to fibre technology.
This is not a sales course. It is purely hands on.

I am going just to hear Johns stories. That's worth a G in itself.
