Hi,
Can someone recommend me a economical sealer for block paving?
And where to buy,
Emphasis being on economical
Thanks Craig

Cheap work is not good
Good work is not cheap
But hey we're talking sealants here. All hail another sealant thread.
Sealants...they're all shiite. Whether it be a £55 drum or a £155 drum, no matter what they write on the drum or on they're websites, they don't last. They're all designed not to last so they sell more.

Really?
So how long will they last?
Do not seal block paving?
-
Stopped doing it as it's too much hassle, customers would ring up months down the line saying weeds have come through and that the sealed joints have sunk. Don't get me wrong we did the jobs properly. Others on here can vouch they apply properly too and still be of the same opinion.
Blocks are disturbed from the weight and vibration of vehicles.
I read similar views a couple of years ago just like you're doing now.
All the above coupled with the weather we have, a guessing game of when you can return to the job to sand and seal, it can jeopardise other work and/or your schedule.
I'd rather go out cleaning all day for £300-£500 and not worry about having to return and apply sealant and worry if the customer is gonna complain months down the line.

Thanks for that, to be honest Im not keen on putting sealer on anyway and i try to avoid it, but so many want it.
I think il put them off by saying it don't last.

Just for the flat surface cleaning and rinsing. Not bothered about the gum nozzle option.

hi blastAway
Firstly their wheels siezed up before i had done 1 tennis court. I had to change them for blickly wheels. Then after about 2000sq mt of other washing the rotor arms blew to bits. Theirs have a swan neck in design and sand blasted them selves to death. then i had to get straight with right angle nozzle bosses rotor arm
your stainless machine in you picture looks like my 24inch whirl a way. I had made a water broom and fitted across the front wheels and a"T" tap fitted up the handle bar stem. So with one action you can go from washing to rinseing.

Yeh it is a 24'' Whirlaway John with 3 x 1503 jets on. I supposedly had a seal kit fitted on it the other month now I'm wondering if the cheeky c***s just packed it with grease and bodged it up as it's leaking again from the hole underneath.
