Title: Craftex grace, vacum motor help
Post by: seamus campbell on September 09, 2012, 07:47:03 pm
Hello

Ive just had my 2nd vacum  go in about 11mths havent took it apart yet but i think no1 went last year and this is no2 gone now, it just made a funny noise then a bit of a burning smell.

this machine is used only about 2-3 time per month as CCing is only part of my business .Do vacs normally go this often the machine is still less than 2 years old. and at about £180 a pop this seems a bit steep.

Any advice appreciated

this is not normal prahaps theres water or somthing leaking in2 ur motors. i always used prochem machine the one day bout a craftex grace with new pump but both vacs original so i bout it 4 £400 expecting to replace the vacs but 2 years on and cleaning a carpet 2-3 times per month my vacs are still perfectly small. goodluck maybe change the vac again ut get the guys to try investigate what could be going wrong. i think they say a vac last over 1000 hours mate.

This is something we here often from part used machines.

Make sure you empty out the tanks then run the vacs with waste tank lid off to dry them out.

Also store the machine without the lid on to reduce condensation build up.

Hi mate I'd look on eBay as someone suggested to me, I just picked up 2 vacs for my exel, I got 2 for £110 mate.

They are what I bought but please don't rush out and buy them, make sure they fit first. I made some agustments to my machine as my vacs were 7.2 and these are 5.2 again someone on here suggested this to me and thanks to their help my machine is running perfect again
