Title: Anyone come across this
Post by: William McCafferty on September 07, 2012, 01:26:08 pm
At a networking meeting this morning a guy came who sells Enduro Shield http://www.enduroshield.co.uk

Basically it's a protected chemical that keeps the glass from getting dirty and makes it easier to clean, a bit like scotch guard on carpets and soft furnishings, I am wondering if anyone has used it and if so what are your thoughts.

I am thinking of using it only on the windows that are like  a 1st clean every time you turn up, or the windows that suffer from tree sap and lime scale etc.

If as it says it speed cleaning by 90%, on these type of property's it might come in handy.

That sort of thing has been around with various names for years mate. Amway sold a version of it and a lot of motorbike riders bought it for visors. My ex wife had it on our windows years ago, and when the sun shone on it, it looked awful. Try it yourself first, but I'm out.

My Dad has a saying:
"It says Bisto on't buses, but they don't sell it ;-) "
Don't always believe what "a guy at a network meeting" tells you.
He is only there to sell this stuff. He's probably a genuine guy just trying to make a bob or two.
But he's been trained in sales of this super duper, magic, solve all your problems stuff.
It really won't be as good as he's been trained to say.
I, personally, wouldn't touch it.

Well first of all he said it does not work on plastic only glass, stainless steel and ceramics like tiles and sinks etc

He said it will not work on helmet visors, but it is good on windscreens

The saying is that it sells oxo on buses not bisto.

I don't really like oxo, bisto or window cleaning but I had to correct you on that.

Dean.
