Seem to be having problems with the gardiners quick release resi neck type 1.. Just can't pull it free each time I wanna change over brushes can any one help?? Tried rubbing it down with wet n dry to make it fit easier but still no joy.
Thumbs are killing me from today. :-\

I have three or four and they are all different. One is murder tight - just find some really coarse emery or sandpaper to rub it down faster.

This ones so tight I could leave the clamp undone and it still wouldn't move ha ha... The wet n drys to fine you thinks???

I think the resi neck could do with two internal springs so you could have it loose and it would always return to being straight after tilting the brush.

That is a good idea thought the same myself also find that it keeps coming loose and I have had to put a washer inside the joint because I couldn't tighten it any further because it has worn so much.
Apart from that great bit of kit.

Drop me an email. I am sure that we can send you out a replacement one that is not so stiff.

I phoned gardiners about this one last week - i bought an aquadapter but couldnt remove the resi-neck from the pole even after i took the clamp completely off. In the end i had to put the pole section in a g-clamp and pull&twist until it eventually threw me across the garden (i exaggerate).
I was told that if you dont use them as a quick release (i.e. leave them on the end) for 6 months they can get really bad. I think mine had fused to the pole it liked it so much ;D
Anyway now i keep a few spares as they are only a few quid, but the main thing is that my neck now screws directly into the aquadapter (with a screw thread) and as i dont change my brush (ever) i have no trouble with it :)

mines brandnew and fixed in solid.
when i first got my slx i though the clamp was for the first section, but after opening the clamp and pulling in didn't budge.
i then realised it was the angle adapter.
