Title: Which back pack?
Post by: Richy L on September 03, 2012, 07:32:52 pm: My backpack as died (again) Thats the second WCW backpack to go.
I only use it every couple of months so it doesnt take a beating.

Any recommendations that are reasonably priced and reliable?

Isnt that one the same as the budget WCW one but £20 more expensive?

Good bit of kit IMO wouldn't wanna use them all day everyday but ideal for the awkward windows etc..

aye get the 18litre one had mine a year still going strong.£110.

Do you know whats wrong with it?
It could just be that water has got into the bottom where the electrics are. You might be able to just dry it out, renew the electrical connections and make sure the bottom plug is tight to stop water leaking into the bottom.
That's all I did with mine. Now works as good as new ;)

if you take it apart, replace all the cabling, re-solder and use waterproof quick connect joints then it should last you a lifetime.

alternatively the one that gardiners has is more watertight with a better seal (rubber) i have both

Post by: Richy L on September 05, 2012, 10:17:56 am: I have charged the battery overnight, but when turning it on it makes a little noise, as if it is going to start for a fraction of second then nothing. The battery meter tells me it has charge in the battery.
Any ideas?
