hello  for absailing you have too have a very good turn over per month money is good but you need work reguler as the outlay for courses , equipment  as everthing needs renewing  and time off for courses found it was a pain so pact it in , but hope it works for you let me know if you are still doing it in a years time . ;D ;D

im taking on a level one and pushing it so i thought id start here

i always see peolple struggling to get godd absailers, well general its the window cleaning side of it there poor at.

landy have a great spine of the business with a good monthly turnover(12-15k) trying to push it and see what it brings, i have a levek one guy and that makes it a lot easier.

i understand the equipment is expensive and also the insurance but it will open up other things

Level 1 is the highest

ronnie i have just googled IRATA courses and level 1 is the starter level so your technician will have to be supervised by a level 3 whilst working, i did abseiling for many years before IRATA was needed and before that block and tackle rope access like fred dibnah used, i later went on a course for abseiling which was then run by over the top but when i realised how many hours where involved in paying a superviser to obtain a level 3 IRATA it put me of following up on the process

just looked again level 1 workers requires 1000 hours supervised work by a level 3 operative to be able to apply for a level 2, and a level 2 worker requires 1000 hours supervision to apply for a level 3, no wonder i was put off you can fly a jumbo jet with less hours training than that
