Post by: Chris R on September 02, 2012, 01:04:44 pm
Spotted this and wondered if anyone uses similar to heat the water in a portable or auxiliary water tank?

Looks OK as long as the element is covered all the time.

110 is 43 celsius ...  too low really to be usefull .
In a portable you need 3000w to keep up with normal work in my experience ...
The likes of Ashbys have a cutoff at 60 degress for pumptecs and 70 for sureflo type pumps .

In one machine i have the thermostat removed  ...   just keep an eye on it , diaphragm pumps can take a lot of abuse , not recommended though .  :)
