Don't set up appointments to clean windows makes it sort of hard for them to cancel  ;D

maybe I have picked this up wrong, when the op said cancel I presumed he meant for good, in which case not making appointments etc was irrelevant

well to me it does, if a customer says I want to cancel as opposed to leave it this month, I guess you would need to be there to understand the conversation and what was meant :-\ maybe the op can elaborate

It was a 1 off clean that a lady didnt even tell me she woudnt be there.
My dentist charges me if i dont make my appointment or give 24 hours notice.
Why cant we do the same if custys dont give 24 hours notice,we are loosing the time slot where we could have earned money.
I pride myself in giving my customers times and dates they all love it that they know when im comming and i love it because i can organise my work better.
Regards

Hi  Cliff.
Here Is what I do.
Which ever customer we have,  whether is a one of or regular, I always text them day before, if they didn’t reply to the 1st text after about 2 hours, I text them again 2nd time to say if he/she received my text , if the there was no reply to the 2nd one then I send them the 3rd and the last text to say if he/she don’t reply within 2 hours we will cancel the clean.
I know it’s a bit of a Hassel, but then again it will save us the journey and waist of time as wall as the most important part (PETROL) specially now they have gone up to 1.42p per litter.

After all you don’t really want to loos the customer.

Hope this help.

21 days notice before next clean required on my side, otherwise i tell them they will be invoiced in full (hard to enforce i know) but im getting alot less not todays sicne i started saying "great stuff your invoice will arrive in the next 48 hours" when i hear that, they let me clean pay and cancel which is exactly what my aim was. cba for custys like that

My custys know exactly when im comming after each clean.
Thats the point if they cancel on the morning i think thats a case for them paying regardless.
Dont get me wrong 99% of my work is spot on its just the 1% that gives me the hump that have done it more than once.to be honest if i loose them i dont care because i dont want customers like that.
I was more intrested if anybody else did it and how you enforce it.

I have to custys i recently stopped because they wont pay me. Only 2 and they owe me about £60.i gave them both the bullet and ive written the debt of but it has annoyed me, in my youth id have keyed their car or something but im to old in the tooth now for idiots.
