Anybody out there got suggestions on how to clean several chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Some large some small. Trying to remove builders/decorators dust and leave them sparkling. Would be grateful for any workable solutions.
Thanks in anticipation Kenh

hi there
a great scene from 'only fools and horses'
but no seriously.
if they need to be cleaned properly, then it is a case of taking them down, hang them on a frame and do it at ground level, even off site.
mild soapy water, and polishing clothes.
re access to take them down, if high up, then a mast lift, or tower, depends how many you have got to do.
any questions please ask

Kenh,
Martins right, you really have to take them down to clean them properly. (just don`t let your grandad near them with a spanner & hammer).
In all seriousness I believe some companies use a `ultra sonic cleaning machine/tank` to vibrate the dust away, it might be worth seeing if `HSS hire` have them?
good luck

ken,
if you want to go down the ultrasonic route, i used to deal with a company in north london.
i can dig out there info for you, where are you based.

If its practical, they can be spray cleaned in situ. Acoustic tile cleaner can be used. You need to have plenty sheets underneath to soak up the fluid and dirt. I have done this on a fire clean once, can't find the photos, just used high alkaline cleaner and finished with water with some vinegar in it, came up sparkling.
