Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of you has ever advertised in newspaper and what response did you get...? Is it worth the hassle and the money. I run small domestic cleaning business and I just wanted to know your opinion about this subject.
Thanks, Adam

Trying to find out about domestic myself . But I have seen locally domestic companies advertising in classified adds
It becomes a bit of an arms race as the paper then plays different advertisers off against each other to increase the size of their advert .
They are stupid as I do not play those games and put my money elsewhere
In my carpet cleaning and window blind business I have had success and failure with classified adds
In other words the more competitors you have in that section you end with price wars and size wars

Hi
I have advertised in our local papers and magazine but to be honest with you I did not get much response as I was hoping for,it was a waist of my money, I feel internet advertising helps.
Just like you, I am still trying to find the best way to get customers, if you come across anything please let me know.

Thanks for sharing your opinion about the subject.
I have also asked my plumber about the same thing and he said, that he would rather suggest flyers distributing and internet advertising than newspapers.
Anyways, thanks again and hope you find your way to get more customers.

Consider doing a letter targeted at the homes you want to clean. You can hand deliver .

I have just looked in my local paper There is one advert advertising £8 an hour and another advertising £9and hour
To me these are ridiculous rates if you want to build a genuine business
