Title: Maintaining a steady airflow with the prowler?

Prowler owners...

Does anyone bother using inline filters such as the lint hog to reduce the amount of crud entering the filter box on the machine?
What in your opinions would be the most effective way to keep airflow at a maximum?

When I used an inline filter it put too much stress on the machine and the belt came off. Use a stocking or tight round filter far easier to clean off without reducing airflow

We have a couple of guys who use the Lint Hog without any issues.

We use them ourselves on our tile & grout machine when doing spa/pool changing rooms to catch all the hair and don't see any noticeable drop in performance airflow wise.

Just keep the filter clean, hose or pressure wash it at least daily. Buy a short pressure lace and put a quick connect on then you just stick it on the end of your solution hose when finishing up. Handy for washing the van as well.

Hey Russ,

I run a Prowler, and found that if you agitate a carpet well prior to extracting then the built in filter got clogged up very quickly due to all the 'fluff' that's produced.

I got my hands on a 'Linthog' and the difference was amazing. I only ever have to clean the built in filter once a week or so now due to the 'Hog' now collecting all the crap.

I wouldnt run the Prowler without one now.

I do have a lint hog and i will be using this without the supplied sock filters as they do nothing but restrict airflow.
JK kindly sent a new filter which i will test out (the old one was proper knackered)
