bumper, it doesnt answer your specific question, but every night i pull the red and black wire out, and just carry the batter inside my flat to charge it.  its pretty heavy but saves having the wheel the whole trolley in

do you have to take the wheels of to get at  the battery, ill know more when charging the battery with a car charger.does battery not roll about with no strap to keep battery in.

you dont have to get the wheels off no.  its slides out from right to left (when facing the trolley.  it does shift a bit to side side but never enough for any damage to be caused or for it to fall out.  the battery fits in a kind of groove in the trolley anyway and its just a case of cliiping the red and black wires back in when youve charged it overnight

i would have put a different charger on it bumper.im on my second charger and battery is still going strong after 2 years plus.mines one of them sealed batteries with intelligent charger that just has a white plastic plug that the charger goes in.

is yours the same?

mines the 50L TROLLEY version

yes, but you can take the casing off to reveal the battery, mine 50l purefreedom i had to cut the nylon cable off to get to  battery.

Ya have to use a hex key and take one wheel off, then it slides out!

honestly you dont need to take the wheel off.  just lift and shimmy it out from right to left.  then to put it back it do the same but from right to left.  no need to waste rime taking the wheels off

ill go for charger cant be arsed taking battery out,i put a new piece in were the pipe comes of the pump and joins the microbore for garden use, and it has a bigger bore hole, well fook me it took nearly2  full barrel to do a detached house very fast had to turn it down to 30.

my 50L trolly bought in 2011, after lifting in and out off van for a week , was getting heavy so took battery out  no bother, got a short flat head srewdriver took apart white casing then  slid battery out, which made it  abit more easy to lift out of van  every time, just connected wires my self each time, but still got fed up with that so got a back pack....    john.
