Just been thinking about something. Why is it we (Carpet cleaners) post out reminders, and Oven cleaners do there reminders by phone call.
What would yoy say the main reason for this is?
Cheers!

Carpet Cleaners are shy?
They been brainwashed?
Fear Rejection?
Should have booked possible clean in a years or six months time with client before they left to give them a handlebut did not?
I bet many do use the phone

I text reminders to my customers (CleanersMate + textLocal API).

We always phone customers!! For us there is no way more productive :)

I'll tell you the real reason.
deep down we all suffer the insecurity that we did a crap job.... so will not call because they might confirm our belief.
if you think this is not true just answer this question honestly
if you got a phone call and they said......
"Hello this is Mr Jones you cleaned our carpet yesterday........"
what is the first thought that comes into your mind? i bet its "Ooh crap....what have a done"
And Oven cleaner call because a lot of them are franchises and they are told to call by their bosses who dictate their marketing

My first thought is here comes another job. Get loads of 'can you come back do the suite' etc ;)

Mike
I didnt expect that, but its sounds about right when you think about it

In my case it is usually "did you know you've left your (chemicals | wand | pipes | foil cards | mop bucket handle | hand tool | coat | sweatshirt | mobile phone etc)?"
Honestly, I've left most of these at one time
