Hi Robert

I use an Ipad as well as a Iphone and use the aworka programme, but I am thinging of getting the Mac air instead, its ighter than the Ipad but more important it has loads of memory, my Ipad is only 16gb this is not enough.

Like the Ipad the Air starts up straightaway instead of netbooks or laptops which can take an age to load up.

I wouldn't recommend the Air.

1 - It doesn't have a CD drive.

and

2 - It's ridiculously thin, and with the day to day life on a window cleaner on the move, will easily get broken.

Pocket expense, excellent and easy. And can export to pdf.

I can't remember the last time I installed something from a CD. All software I use is downloaded from the net or installed from a USB drive. Not having a CD drive is not an issue.

and

It's fantastically thin! It's made from aluminium and in very sturdy and strong. It will long outlast a thick plastic job by years.

Back on topic, I use Plan My Jobs on both my iPad and Android smartphone.

The same can be said for the iPad and iPhone and I have not damaged either yet

It's not an Android app. It's an online app viewable at www.PlanMyJobs.com. As it's all online you can use it on Android, iOS, PCs, whatever has a web browser.

Where abouts are you stuck? You've added the Area in Areas? If so then when you add the customer you can then pick the right area.

Hi craig everytime i press the area box to enter the area it just comes up with 5 dashes and it wont let me input any area .

That's right. If You click on Areas which is next to Add New Customers then you'll be able to add the necessary info there. Once that's done, when you come to add your customers you'll be able to select the Areas you've just input.

Cheers craig this might be a stupid question but is all my work going to be on this program ?just a bit concerned how secure it is dont like the fact i have to log on to met to get my work

The website is an interface to the database that your info is stored on. This allows us to keep your data (and everyone else's) more secure. Being made to login is added security. If you didn't have to login then everyone could see everyone else's info!

just one question craig, does the income page just keep increasing or does it reset say at the end of the financial year

That's a good point. It needs some alterations to be more effective. We're working on providing a breakdown by year then by month. Next step is to implement a user selectable time period so you'll be able to display income for whatever time period you wish.

any plans for a static version on a tablet craig ?

You mean like a "proper" app rather than a web app? If so then the answer is not at the moment. The whole idea behind having PlanMyJobs as a web app is to allow access to your customer info across all platforms whether that's a PC, a smartphone or a tablet. There are some other options that are being looked at but it's currently in the blue sky thinking stage.

Snap to Blue Frog Systems

Looks like there is a gap in the market for a decent native android app.

Which is a bit ironic as this topic is entitled "ipad"

:-)

The Income page now allows you to input the date ranges you want. Far more useful now!
