Title: Merlin RO system
Post by: Greig... on August 20, 2012, 11:17:57 pm
With a GE Merlin RO unit, do you have to buy the proper merlin membrane replacements or can you buy cheaper alternatives because they are about £150 for the two of them.... quite steep and thats before I buy the post filter and new resin, getting rather expensive!

basicaly your RO is all down to the membranes.
if you don't buy the merlin ones you cannot gaurantee it being anywhere near as efficient.

never seen 'alternatives' to genuine GE membranes but as they should last you a good couple of years
the cost is not that great and the pre filter is about £20
