Hi all,I know a lot of you guys use a split charge relay but which do you recommend?
I bought a cheap n nasty one last year with instructions in japanese lol and needless to say it never worked :( :( :(
Where do you guys get them from and do you fit them yourselves or get an electrician or mechanic to fit them ???
Thanks in advance
Pete

From ebay - same seller does a kit too, with the wires, terminals etc
As above - easy to fit - one wire from battery to back of van, rest of the connections are in the back of the van.
Some split chargers you have to tap into an alternator connection - hassle!
-
You could also get a digital controller with the split relay built in easy to fit

Got mine from local 'Trailer Supply' company £14 an auto Sparky friend fitted it for me 5 years ago, never had any probs whatsoever, been great!
Two heavy duty cables from main battery, earth to van, job done, I use a sealed battery for WFP which came off a golf Trolley, been fitted now for three years never ever gone Flat, never removed, just works... as things should.
Good Luck
