Hi Guys
PROCHEM BLAZER problem. The header tank is not filling. I de-scaled a week ago, not sure if this could be part of the problem. I replaced the small pump on the demand about 18 months ago so shouldnt be that. Any ideas?
Cheers
Justin

small pump being the diaprahgm pump
-
does it fill when you fit a freshwater hosepipe onto the front? sounds like your supply pump is not working.... disconnect the outlet side and see if it is pumping water.
might have a blocked supply filter also
-
its not pumping water. I am begining to think it may be diaphram pump again?
Where would I find this filter?

I changed the micro switch on my feeder pump today, It happens frequently to me, they know me quite well in maplins now were i buy the switches. ::)

I seem to remember when I brought the D/pump it was not quite the right one, shurflo said it would be ok, but not capable of taking as much heat as the original. I reckon this may have killed it, what do you think?
-
also no noise coming from pump.
-
John is that the on/off switch?
-
Which Shurflo pump is, maybe the end bell needs changing mate

the diaphram pump on the demand pump 2088-343-500. Could it be just the end? are they easy to change?
-
yes, it's the switch on the top of the pump, the one with the 2 wires going to and from it.

Can't be heat, the supply pump is transferring cold water!
I'm not sure if your machine works this way but with mine, if the machine is switched off and you turn the ignition one click over, it will send electricity to the supply pump. You could do that and see if it is running.
The other thing to check is your float valve in the header tank, it may be stuck closed. Give it a jiggle up and down a few times, it may have a bit of scale stuck in it or something!

Some people use those pumps without one of those pressure vessels (what are they called?) which stop it switching on and off again all the time and burning out prematurely. Get one of those if you haven't got one.

i have a blazer, the pump that supplies the water from the water tank only last me 18 months .You can get a pump cheaper from a marine shop than prochem.Do you know how to get water directly to header tank by passing your water tank.

water pressure switch........sorted

That's cos I've lived round here too long ;) ;)
Glad you got it sorted Justin, is it the switch on the pump or somewhere else?
-
The switch on top of the Shurflo pump.
-
;) good to know, someone else might find this useful ;)
-
theres a switch on the pump, does it trip or something???
-
The microswitch just wears out, really quickly if you don't have an accumalator tank fitted with the pump. It's worth keeping a spare in the van, maplins do them quite cheap.

Another good source of 12v pumps for us landlubbers is a caravan shop.
