Asking for quotes due to seeing the pole.
I don't use the pole very often but would like to find
A secure methord to keep it on to of my van at night
And all day etc, it's just bungied on at tho mo,
Any ideas please?

Its a bit dodgy to be honest colin mate in case it gets nicked,
There are special pole carriers that that be bought though,
Whenever I'm working away and my van is left exposed on say a hotel car park I always leave mine on site or at a push if its got to be done, take it in the hotel room with us. :D.

Hi Colin,
my advice would be to leave it on your van NEVER.
Trust me when i say this, but if you leave it on your van you are not only asking for the pole to be nicked, they could well know where you live and know you will have to replace it and have others.
They will sell them no trouble, so never leave it on the van, even if you could lock it in a pole tube.
You are asking for trouble.

I put my CLX inside my cab if I'm out of sight. Crime rate here is very low but I wouldn't push it.

Cheers for the replys gents
I do no what you saying like, I was just hoping
Some had thought of some thing! I was thinking about
Welding a hasp and staple on to double scaffold coupling,
And the padlocking it on.
It's a 3m Brodex monster pole so I can't really put it any were
In my house. I'll have to think of something
Cheers

Brodex?
get it insured and hope someone nicks it.

buy a cheap pole and brush , drill holes in it and bolt it onto your roof rack - simples - then no worries about if some nick it as it will be useless to them and will break i half if is extended ....

You have to think like a thief to catch a thief.
If I were a thief and saw an expensive looking bit of kit bolted or padlocked to a van roof I'd nick the van then rifle through the contents at my leisure.
Seriously, if you were to leave that pole exposed people may assume the hidden gear is even better booty.
