???
I've tended to buy a lot of cheap n nasty tools in the past (false economy and tgey fail at the most inopportune times too) but am gradually upgrading.
Currently I am after recommendations for a decent set of drill bits. I have some individual masonry from machine mart but need some steel ones. Max dia is to fit some seat belt bolts, about 3/4". Could do with a few pilot hole bits too as the drill it fairy keeps stealing them.
Cheers in advance folki

Dewalt extreme, start off with a 2mm and work sizes up? screwfix.

I presume you will be using a portable hand drill and not a bench/pillar drill?
Anything over 12mm I would recommend spade end bits or auger bits for drilling into wood.
If you are drilling metal a portable magnetic drill would be ideal to avoid breaking your wrist!
I have used the dewalt extreme bits up to 13mm for drilling angle iron and they are quite good.
