The way it's always been done produces the same results. What's easier to use, a pair of pliers and just bend the channel or using a hacksaw and then a pair of pliers?
Sorry Lee, but why make something more complicated when it's simple. You're not thinking about becoming a politician are you?

No, not really. It's all about more pressure on the corners of the squeegee removing more soap and so less detailing. How much more pressure will bending the corners of a squeegee in create?
You'd be better off using a detailing squeegee. A 6" one to cut the corners and then use your normal squeegee.
Basic physics, really.

No I do it the "NEW WAY" ten years ago. Your attitude will only make your tabloid obsolete and make you enemies. There was a industry years before you came along.Try buying yourself a bigger hat.

Great idea taking a hacksaw to the channel first. Gonna love that when you catch some bare skin on it.

You only bend the end of the channel a very small amount. Just enough to make a slight bend in the rubber.

In 20 years of window cleaning i've never had the need to dog ear a squeegee.
Buy a decent squeegee. Where did you get those? B&Q?
Looks right skanky.
